For volume or heavy work, local, state- or nation-wide, Allied’s Taxi-Truck fleet can be your ‘transport department’ for as long or as short a time as you need it. For one-off heavy, or oversized deliveries there’s a cost effective hourly or kilometer rate depending on vehicle size. If you’ve got a truck off the road or you’re experiencing higher-than-normal delivery demand, you can supplement or augment your own fleet through Allied’s Taxi-Truck service.

Service categories for taxi-trucks are the same as for couriers although, due to the smaller fleet size, availability is more of a determining factor and vehicles are normally booked ahead to avoid
unnecessary delays . Also, loading time is more of a factor with Taxi-Trucks and should be factored-in when communicating delivery times to your customer.

Delivery categories for Taxi-Trucks are: Normal, VIP and Executive with turnaround times ideally of four hours, two hours and one hour from departure respectively.

With Allied’s VIP service, the delivery is tracked internally but is flagged at a higher level of priority. Drivers are alerted by the control centre of a ‘Time-Out’ period by which the delivery must be made
and off the monitoring system. Executive is Allied’s premium service. An Executive job has the added feature of being individually monitored by a customer service supervisor who is alerted by the driver at time of pick-up and drop-off, along with providing the customer the identity of the receiver as confirmation. This service subordinates all other deliveries and has a ‘Time-Out’ maximum of one hour. All Taxi-Trucks are co-ordinated through professionally staffed control rooms in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
