We would like to provide an update regarding recent service disruptions and ongoing recovery efforts.

North Queensland Region: Heavy rain and flooding continue to impact the North Queensland Region. Access to Cairns is opening and closing as the conditions change, with all access currently closed and not expected to reopen until the end of this week (14 Feb). When services do resume, there will be an additional day added to the delivery time due to the route change that will be required. These delays are likely to remain for several months due to the damage to bridges and other roading infrastructure throughout the region.

Melbourne to Tasmania: Note that full shipping capacity has now been restored between Melbourne and Tasmania, but there remains a large backlog to clear. Although we’ve been able to engage additional shipping capacity to move the backlog, our agent in Tasmania will still need to work through the large quantity of deliveries that need to be completed. We’re still estimating that it could take most of February to fully catch-up from last months shipping disruptions.

The Role

Reporting into the State Sales & Customer Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to drive the achievement of growth and retention of clients through the management and development of portfolio accounts. You will work autonomously but also as part of the state Account Management team.

Key Objectives

  • Retain existing customer revenue in line with company expectations
  • Achieve growth and margin targets in line with company budgets
  • Develop solutions and strategies to increase share of wallet
  • Carry out and complete administration tasks related to the development and maintenance of customer accounts
  • Uphold company culture and high standards
  • Maintain and report account management activity in CRM
  • Ensure health and safety is a priority in all operations and in line with Company Policy and Procedure

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous industry experience in Transport / Logistics or similar
  • At least 2 years in customer relationships
  • A self-motivated professional who is customer centric, eager to grow, and enjoys problem solving
  • Strong listening and negotiation skills
  • Constant willingness to develop
